Well my aspirations for keeping the blog updated proved to be too lofty a goal for this busy momma of four. Sadly, another month has gone by with no updates.
It's hard to believe that we've been in Taiwan for seven weeks now. We are seeking to treasure each and every day we have here on this beautiful island. We realize what a gift from God it is to be here in our children's birth country experiencing Taiwanese culture. Life is also much slower for us here which is so good for Leah while she is bonding to us. Once we return to Louisville, life will pick up speed significantly so it is a blessing to have this time together as we adjust to becoming a family of six. That being said we are beginning to long for home and becoming a little nervous about Leah's adoption being finalized by our scheduled flight home. Please pray with us that we will receive Leah's adoption decrees as soon as possible.
The majority of our days here are quite ordinary. We home school, cook, clean and play. Our main goal for these first weeks has been to focus on helping Leah attach to her new family. She is doing so well and is really settling in. She adores her siblings and her daddy so much and she has definitely become very attached to her momma! She has lots of personality and really likes to be silly. She eats broccoli like it's candy and she can tell me which article of clothing belongs to which family member while I'm folding laundry. She loves holding hands and praying before meals and tries to grab our hands several times DURING the meal to pray again. In short, she's amazing and we feel so incredibly humbled and honored that God has chosen us to be her family.

They love her so much and the feeling seems to be quite mutual. |
